Symptom Possible Cause Required Action, etc.
Measured value for
voltage or current is
not displayed
correctly.
Selected display items are not
appropriate.
For AC, select RMS. Displayed values will not
be correct unless RMS is selected.
“----” is displayed.
Measurement is out of range.
(Out of measurable range)
“----” is displayed when any of the measurement
ranges set as described in “5.4
MEASURE
Screen
” have been exceeded. Check the load
conditions and set values.
Measured values are
inconsistent.
Measurements are being taken
in external mode (EXT).
When in external mode (EXT), the measurement
cycle is fixed.
If the external input signal frequency is known,
change the output mode to ADD mode
(AC-ADD or AC+DC-ADD), set the internal
oscillator output voltage to “0”, and set the
frequency as the external input frequency.
Measurements are at low
frequency (10 Hz or less).
When the frequency is lower than 10 Hz, the
measurement cycle is fixed, so the measured
values may become unstable.

Output is off. Set output to on.
When a sequence is
completed, the setting
differs from the final

When completed, the voltage or

range limit, it is forcibly changed to the lower
limit value.
